Sometimes in life opportunity knocks at your door.This is what happened to me.I was in Eisamay Deepti 2019 beauty pageant .Yes I worked for it .It was a magical but very very tough journey so I wanna share my experience with you guys .People who have been texting me for the details I guess this will help you.

18/8/2019- Registration

We get the Eisamay newspaper at our house and suddenly I noticed an ad with Paoli Dams face on it .It was the registration notice for Deepti.So I went to their website and registered my name.They ask for your name age height marital status and hobbies.The registration started on 18/8/2019 and ended on 10/9/2019.

Audition- 13/9/2019

From thousands of entries they choose 100 girls internally. I got the call that I was among the top 100 and had to be at the audition venue on 13/9/2019(Friday 13 haha). 

The audition was held on Jw Marriot hotel kolkata .In the gold club. I wore my Yellow off shoulder dress by Lee Cooper and didnt put on much makeup but I highlighted my lips because thats my asset. I went there and saw all the girls I was intimidated but confident. Abhjit Chanda(MUA) Tina Mukherjee(grooming coatch) and Tnushree chaterjee were our judges. I kept a brave face and did a cat walk in front of them . They asked me about myself and my intention to take part in the pageant. Then they gave me a top 100 certificate and the girl outside told me that they will call if I get selected.

And guess what I got a call that evening that I GOT SELECTED.YIPPPPPPIEE.

Details and measurements - 14/9/1029

We had to go to the JW marriot again .The Bhawanipur Design academy  came to take our measurements for the ramp dresses.They told us that forget about everything for this coming week its gonna be hard with grooming and shoots.

15/9/2019- Grooming Starts

We had to report at 10 am sharp at Jw Marriot. Its like 1 and a half hour from my house so I had to get on the cab at 8 am.(Its gonna be tough hon ) Tina came at like 10:30 and started the grooming sessions she taught us how to perfect out catwalks how to give intros and elegance. I got scolded for not wearing a stiletto that day.She told us to bring stilettos the nest day.Then we had 5 star buffet lunch.The theme was indo western that day.

The grooming session ended at 5:30 pm and my gawd it was tough I almost cried but I didnt. 

16/9/2019 - Grooming continues and shoot for City Life reatail

This day our grooming coach was angry for some reason and we felt it every miniute.The  grooming was extra hard but I got through it. She dismissed us at 2 pm . then we had our lunch.The theme was chinese that day.

Then we had a poolside shoot for city life we had our makeup and hair done by Abhijit Chanda and team ad chose cloths from city life .Then there was a wonderful shoot in Jw marriot rooftop poolside done by amazing and great photographers like sunny d and more.Got out of the hotel at 7:30

16/9/2019-News paper 

Look who is rocking the newspaper . Its meeeeeeeeeee.

Another tough day at grooming very very very tough day . Got scolded got food and got free at 8 pm.

17/9/2019- Store visit

Today is tough very tough we had to visit stores and shoot for them .First we went to triangular park HOUSE OF SL got our makeup done. Shot pics for them and got on the most luxurious bus to go to the Bhawanipur design academy.There we put on dresses and shot pic.All day hungry and we had to shoot . There is no mercy in glamour world.At 4 pm we went to the hotel again and had food . Then shot for finals day .Then couldnt rest as well we left for sector 5 snco gold where we had touch ups and they put the most beautiful diamond necklace on me and took pics. The day ended at 8;30 pm. Yes it is tough.

18/9/2019- Av Shoot and grooming 

We were all asked to wear a white tee and denim jeans because we had to shoot an AV .The day started with hectic grooming and yelling and condolence.Grooming continued till 6 pm. Then we had to shoot the AV and then we got our beautiful shoes from House of SL. 6" stilettoes.

19/9/2019 - Finals

Got featured in Times of India again

All hard work for this day didnt sleep last night sick af but I have to carry on. Got on the card at 6 am and went to marriot at 7.45. The stage was being made it was huge and like a dream. It was for us people were coming to see us it was our day. Had our base makeup done by Abhijit chanda. Then another the toughest grooming ramp walk for 4 hours . Had lunch at 4 pm. I dont know how I didnt freak out Maybe I was too tired for that.Then we had our hair done. The first sequence was in Sarees by Anuoam Chantterjee I wore a beautiful kanjibharam.And the next sequence in beeeeeeeautiful princess gown by Bhawanipur. I took the ramp on and rocked it.In front of all the important people .The judges Prambrata Chatterjee,,Paoli Dam, Koel Muliick,Tanushree chatterjee, Srijit Mukherjee and more. show was hosted by  Saheb. But I didnt look at anything it was my day and the mostbimportant people there was my family. I had to fight back my tears when I saw my parents that proud. Thank you Deepti for giving me this chance to prove myself.

What I have to say

Hon this glamour world is really really tough  You gotta fight every flash to stay on this race. Be confident be fierce be vocal. I had always been bullied for my weight and look where I am. I almost cried in fear that I wont get selected beacuse I was so skinny. But I did and rocked the ramp. And people who bullied  me hurt me are now in tears .They cant look me in the eye. So girlfriend u gotta learn to fight. Fight and show them what u got. Be tough work hard. I am way more confident than I ever was. Be yourself dont give a damn . Your destiny lies within you , you just have to be brave enough to see it. Good luck for the girls who want to take part in Deepti in future.
